“iMage Making” Photos

These two pieces were the gallery exhibit component of my “Solve et Coagula” concept and performance.

“Evanesce” water feature (Kiln fused digital image, quote in artist’s handwriting on kiln formed glass, mixed media).

The phrase “Solve et Coagula” carries a metaphysical meaning: purification of the self.  Water plays an important role in many purification rituals and serves as the common theme. The two glass/mixed media sculptures are visual representations of the symbolic washing away (“Evanesce”) of one socially perceived identity….
